How to List Your Car on Juuh: A Step-by-Step Guide for Hosts

Have a car that spends most of its time parked?

With Juuh, you can list your car on a peer-to-peer car-sharing marketplace and make it available to people who need a car. You stay the owner of the vehicle and remain in control of when it is available and who you accept.

Juuh is the marketplace connecting hosts and renters. We provide the platform, help bring renters to your listing, verify renters, process bookings and payments, and organise the digital side of the rental. Your car, your availability and your decisions remain yours.

If you are creating your first listing, this guide will take you through the process step by step.

Before You Start

Creating a listing is designed as a guided process. You will see your progress as you move through the steps, and your draft is saved if you need to leave and come back later. You can return to your draft for up to two weeks.

Before you begin, have these things ready:

Having everything ready before you start will make the process much easier.

Step 1: Add Your Profile Photo

Your profile photo is the first of the onboarding steps.

This is not just an administrative detail. When someone rents a car from a private owner, they want to know who they are dealing with. Your profile helps make the experience more personal and transparent.

Choose a clear photo where your face is easy to see. You do not need a professional headshot. A simple, recent photo is enough.

Step 2: Add Your Phone Number

Enter the phone number you use regularly.

Juuh will use it for verification, so make sure you have access to the number you provide.

Step 3: Verify Your Phone

You will receive an SMS with a verification code.

Enter the code to confirm your phone number and continue with the onboarding process.

These first steps are part of setting up your host profile. Once they are completed, you do not have to repeat them every time you add another car.

Step 4: Verify Your Identity

Next, you will complete identity verification, also known as KYC.

This step helps Juuh confirm who is creating the host account.

You will need a valid identity document. Make sure the information you provide matches your document and that the images are clear.

Identity verification is completed once for your host account. If you later add another vehicle, you can continue from the vehicle-listing part of the process rather than starting from the beginning again.

Step 5: Choose Your Vehicle Category

Now it is time to start creating your actual vehicle listing.

Choose the category that matches your vehicle.

Make sure you select the correct category because this information helps renters find the right type of vehicle when they search.

Step 6: Add the Vehicle Location

Tell Juuh where the car is located.

Think carefully about the location you provide. Renters need to know where they will collect the vehicle, and location can be an important factor when they compare different cars.

If your car is in Málaga, for example, make sure the location accurately represents where the vehicle will be available rather than simply choosing a large nearby city.

Clear location information helps avoid confusion later.

Step 7: Add Your Car Details

Now you will enter the basic information about the vehicle.

You will need details such as:

Take your time with these details. Double-check the registration number and VIN before continuing.

Accurate information at this stage means fewer corrections later and gives renters a clearer picture of the car they are considering.

Step 8: Add the Car Specifications

Next, add the practical details renters want to know before booking.

These include:

Think about this section from the renter's point of view.

Someone searching for a car may specifically need an automatic vehicle, a certain number of seats or enough space for a longer trip. The more accurate your information is, the easier it is for the right renter to find your car.

Step 9: Write Your Description and Rental Rules

This is where you can tell renters what makes your car useful.

You do not need to write a huge paragraph. Focus on the information that helps someone decide whether the car is right for their trip.

You could mention:

For example:

Comfortable city car, easy to park and suitable for couples or small families. Automatic transmission, five seats and enough boot space for two medium-sized bags. Ideal for exploring Málaga and the surrounding area.

If there is something important about your car that a renter should know, say it clearly.

Good listings are not about making the car sound perfect. They are about helping the right renter understand what they are booking.

Step 10: Add Your Photos

Photos are one of the most important parts of your listing.

Before uploading them, make sure the car is clean and parked somewhere with good natural light.

Try to show the car from different angles rather than uploading five almost identical photos.

A useful photo set can include:

If there is existing visible damage, make sure it is properly documented according to the platform's process.

Remember that renters are making a decision through a screen. Good photos give them confidence that the car they see in the listing is the car they will actually receive.

Step 11: Submit Your Listing for Review

Once you have completed the listing, check everything one more time and submit it for moderation.

Your listing then moves through the platform's review process:

Onboarding → Pending Review → Active

If something needs attention, a listing can become Restricted or Declined. The reason is communicated to the host, and there is an option to appeal when applicable.

Once your listing becomes active, renters can discover it through the marketplace.

How Long Does It Take to Create a Listing?

The first listing requires several steps because you are also setting up and verifying your host account.

The process is designed as an 11-step guided flow, with your progress visible throughout.

Once your first car is set up, adding another vehicle is much simpler because your profile and identity verification are already completed.

So if you have several cars, you do not have to start from zero every time.

Your fleet can be managed from one host dashboard, with individual prices, calendars and booking settings for each vehicle.

How Do You Set Your Car's Price?

You set the rental price for your car.

Juuh provides a pricing calculator to help you understand what a similar vehicle may be worth on the market. The calculator uses available market pricing data, and when there is not enough data for a particular vehicle, it provides an estimate based on its own calculation rather than simply leaving the field empty.

The market estimate is there to help you make a decision. You remain the person setting the price.

What Is the Juuh Host Commission?

The default host commission is 25%.

Your exact rate, if different, is shown in your Host → Earnings section and in the relevant calculation.

The commission is calculated from the rental price before taxes. The renter's deposit and taxes paid by the renter are not included in the commission base.

Juuh also covers payment-system fees, so those fees are not deducted from your host payout.

Can I Choose Who Rents My Car?

Yes.

Juuh offers two booking modes:

Instant Booking

With Instant Booking, the renter can book your car immediately according to the conditions of your listing.

Request to Book

With Request to Book, the renter sends you a request and you have 24 hours to decide whether to accept it.

If you do not respond within that time, the request is automatically declined. This prevents renters from waiting indefinitely for an answer.

If you prefer to decide who uses your car, Request to Book gives you that control.

What Do You See When Someone Requests Your Car?

When a booking request reaches you, the renter has already passed several checks.

Before the request reaches the host, Juuh checks:

Your approval is the final step in the process.

There is one important detail here: the money is held on the renter's card. It has not yet been paid to you.

The amount is reserved by the bank, and the payout process starts after the rental ends.

How Do You Communicate With Your Renter?

You can communicate with renters through the Juuh platform.

One useful feature for international rentals is automatic translation. Each user has a preferred language, and messages can be delivered translated into the other person's language. The original message can also be viewed.

So you can write in your own language instead of worrying about whether your English or Spanish is perfect.

Before a rental, it is a good idea to confirm practical details such as:

And when something important is agreed, keep the conversation in the Juuh chat. The communication stays connected to the booking and can be useful if there is ever a question about what was agreed.

How Does the Car Handover Work?

The condition of the vehicle is documented with photos at pickup and return.

These photos are stored together with information about their origin, creating a record of the vehicle's condition. This can be important if there is later a question about damage.

Before handing over the car, make sure the vehicle is in the condition described in your listing and follow the platform's inspection process.

When the car comes back, document its condition again as required.

A few minutes spent taking clear photos can prevent a much bigger discussion later.

What If You Need Your Car?

Your car is still your car.

You can use your calendar to block dates when you need it yourself. Going on holiday? Block those dates. Have a family event? Block them. Need the car for work? Keep it unavailable.

You decide when the vehicle can be booked.

Can You List Your Car on Other Platforms?

Yes.

Juuh does not require exclusivity. The same vehicle can also be listed on other platforms or rented through other channels, according to your own arrangements.

This means joining Juuh does not require you to give up the other ways you already use to rent your car.

When Do You Get Paid?

The payout process starts automatically 24 hours after the rental ends.

There is no need to manually request the payout or remind the platform to send it.

One important detail: “24 hours” refers to when the payout is initiated. The exact time it takes for the money to reach your bank account depends on your bank, so it should not be understood as a guarantee that the money will appear in your bank account exactly one day later.

What Can You See in Your Host Dashboard?

Your host area brings the main parts of your activity together.

You can manage:

Bookings — see requests and trips.

Fleet — manage your vehicles.

Earnings — see revenue, payouts and export your financial data.

Chat — communicate with renters.

Calendar — control when each car is available.

For hosts with several vehicles, each car can have its own pricing, availability and booking settings.

You can also export your listings, bookings, contracts, calculations and reviews. According to the current agreement, access to contracts and calculations remains available for 90 days after leaving the platform.

What Does Juuh Handle and What Does the Host Handle?

This is worth understanding before you publish your car.

Juuh handles the marketplace side:

The host remains responsible for:

Juuh is a marketplace, not the owner of your car and not the company providing insurance for it. The current host agreement states that Juuh does not provide insurance or roadside assistance in its own name. Coverage is provided by the host or by the insurer specified for the particular booking.

So the platform can help organise the rental, but the responsibilities of owning and maintaining a vehicle do not disappear.

What About Insurance?

This is an important point for every host.

You should have the appropriate insurance for the way you are using your vehicle and check the requirements that apply to your specific situation.

Do not describe your car as “insured by Juuh” or promise renters that Juuh provides full insurance coverage.

The current Juuh information does not support that claim. Any insurance or protection applicable to a particular booking should be checked in the relevant booking information and policy.

If you are unsure whether your current insurance allows you to rent your car to others, speak to your insurer before listing the vehicle.

How Can You Make Your Listing More Attractive?

A good listing does not need complicated marketing.

It needs accurate information.

Start with clear photos. Make sure the car is clean, the lighting is good and the important parts of the vehicle are visible.

Then write a description that answers the questions a renter is likely to have.

If your car is particularly easy to park in the city, say so.

If it has a large boot, mention it.

If it is ideal for long road trips, explain why.

If there is something unusual that a renter should know before booking, tell them.

The goal is not to make every car sound like the best car in Spain.

The goal is to help the right renter understand why your car could be right for their trip.

Common Questions From New Hosts

Do I need to verify my identity?

Yes. Identity verification is part of the host onboarding process.

What documents do I need to list my car?

You will need photos of the vehicle, the registration certificate, an insurance policy and a valid ITV, alongside the identity and vehicle information required during onboarding.

Who decides the price?

You do. Juuh provides a market-based pricing calculator to help you set a price, but the final decision remains with the host.

Can I reject a renter?

Yes. With Request to Book, you can review the request and decide whether to accept it. You have 24 hours to respond.

What happens if I do not answer a booking request?

The request is automatically declined after the 24-hour response period.

Can I block dates when I need my car?

Yes. Use your calendar to make the car unavailable on dates when you want to use it yourself.

Can I list my car somewhere else too?

Yes. Juuh does not require exclusivity.

Can I add more than one car?

Yes. Your vehicles can be managed from the same host area, with individual settings for each vehicle.

Can I communicate with renters in my own language?

Yes. Juuh's chat supports automatic translation based on users' preferred languages, while allowing the original message to be viewed.

When does my payout start?

The payout process starts automatically 24 hours after the rental ends. The exact time until the money reaches your bank depends on the bank.

What happens if my listing is rejected?

If a listing is restricted or declined, the reason is communicated. Hosts can also appeal where applicable.
