How much can I earn with my car?
It depends on the car, the city and how often it is available. The three levers you control are the daily price, the number of days the car is bookable, and how quickly you respond to requests.
There is no single figure, and anyone quoting one is guessing. What earnings actually come down to is four things.
What moves the number
- The car. A compact automatic in a city rents more often than a large manual estate. Newer cars and automatics command higher daily rates.
- Where it is. Demand concentrates near airports, stations and tourist areas.
- How available it is. A car bookable twenty days a month earns roughly twice one bookable ten.
- Your response time. Requests go to whoever answers. Slow replies cost bookings before price ever enters into it.
Working out your own estimate
Search the marketplace for cars like yours in your city and look at the daily rates. Multiply a realistic rate by the number of days you would genuinely make the car available, then subtract the 15% service fee and your own running costs — insurance, servicing, tyres, cleaning between trips.
A realistic first month
Most new listings are quiet for the first week or two: they have no reviews yet. Pricing slightly under comparable cars until you have three or four completed trips is the fastest way through that, and it is easier to raise a price later than to recover from an empty calendar.
