Managing your availability
Your calendar decides when the car can be booked. Block the dates you need it yourself, and keep the rest open — an accurate calendar is what makes accepting a request easy.
The calendar is the single setting that decides whether a booking can happen at all. A car with no availability is invisible in search results for those dates.
Blocking dates
Open the vehicle in Fleet and mark the days the car is not available — a holiday, a service, a week you need it yourself. Blocked days cannot be booked, and existing bookings are never affected by a later block.
Buffers between trips
Leave time between bookings for cleaning, refuelling and the handover itself. Back-to-back trips with no gap are where handovers go wrong.
Trip length
A minimum trip length filters out the very short rentals that cost as much work as a long one. A maximum keeps the car from disappearing for six weeks when you would rather it did not.
Keep it honest
The most expensive calendar mistake is leaving dates open that you cannot honour, then cancelling when a request arrives. Cancellations after acceptance disrupt someone's plans and count against your standing on the platform, so blocking a date in advance is always the cheaper option.
If your plans genuinely are unpredictable, keep the calendar short — open the next two weeks rather than the next six months, and extend it as you go.
