Non-Discrimination Policy
Version 1.0.0 · in force from 2026-09-06
1. Commitment
This policy applies to everyone who uses Juuh — Renters, Hosts, approved drivers and visitors — and forms part of the general terms. Controller: Denys Romanov, sole trader, Spanish NIF/NIE Y9622163N, Juuh, legal@juuh.com, Calle Alqueria 1, 29680 Estepona, Málaga, Spain.
Treating anyone unfavourably on legally protected grounds is not allowed. Those grounds include racial or ethnic origin, nationality, sex, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, religion or belief, disability, age, illness, language, socio-economic situation and family status. This applies to the decision to accept or decline a booking request, to price, to handover conditions, to treatment during the trip, to reviews and to communication between the parties.
Juuh is governed by Spanish and European Union equal-treatment law, including the rules that prohibit discrimination in access to goods and services available to the public.
2. What may legitimately be required
A Host may apply objective, proportionate requirements that are communicated before contracting where they follow from safety, from the law or from the terms of their policy. For example:
- Minimum age and licence seniority, within the limits published on the listing.
- A driving licence valid for the vehicle in Spain, including a requirement for an international permit or an exchange where the law requires one.
- Completed identity verification and a match between the verified person and whoever collects the vehicle.
- Vehicle use rules — territory, mileage, animals, smoking, number of drivers — published on the listing and applied equally to everyone.
Nationality is not used as an automatic proxy for risk. The country that issued a licence can be relevant to whether that licence legally permits driving in Spain; a person's country of origin, name or language cannot. A requirement applied to some users but not to comparable others is not objective.
Business Hosts must be able to justify any requirement that restricts access. Juuh may ask for that justification and remove from the listing a requirement that has none.
3. Accessibility and reasonable adjustments
You can request reasonable adjustments and accessible formats by writing to legal@juuh.com. You do not need to disclose a diagnosis to ask for help: describing what you need is enough.
Juuh states the vehicle's features and any real access limitations it knows about, and does not promise an adaptation that does not exist. A Host is not required to modify their vehicle, but they are required to describe it accurately and not to refuse someone because of a disability when the vehicle, as it is, works for the trip. A guide or assistance dog is not a pet and cannot be a reason for refusal, nor for a cleaning surcharge different from the one that would apply to any other trip.
Accessibility status of the site. We work to make Juuh usable with a keyboard and with a screen reader, and we use the WCAG 2.1 level AA guidelines as our development reference. We have not yet carried out an external accessibility audit and we do not publish a formal conformity statement. If you hit a barrier, write to legal@juuh.com naming the page and what happened: we will offer an assisted alternative so you can complete what you were doing, and we will prioritise the fix. Any specific microenterprise exemption under accessibility legislation for products and services does not remove the equal-treatment duties or the duty to make reasonable adjustments described here.
4. How to report and what happens next
Discriminatory behaviour can be reported at legal@juuh.com or from the booking itself. Give the booking, the facts, the dates and any evidence — messages, screenshots, the listing text.
Reports are handled under the complaints procedure: acknowledgement within one business day, a reasoned response within 14 calendar days and human review of the decision. Depending on severity and evidence, measures range from requiring a correction to the listing or the behaviour, to limiting the listing, removing content, suspending functions or terminating the account. Where discrimination affects a specific booking, the Renter bears no penalty for the resulting cancellation and is refunded in full for services not provided.
Reporting in good faith does not count against your account. Retaliation against someone who reports is itself a breach of this policy.
This policy does not replace your legal rights. You may always go to the competent consumer and equality authorities and to the courts.
