Who can rent, and what you need
You need a verified identity, a verified driving licence and a payment method in your own name before you can book, and only you may drive the car.
Nobody books a car on Juuh anonymously. The checks happen once, before your first booking, and they are the same for everyone.
Before you can book
- Your identity, verified.
- A valid driving licence, verified.
- A payment method in your own name.
All three have to be in place before a booking can be made. A card belonging to a parent, a partner or an employer does not qualify: the name on the payment method has to be yours.
Only you drive
The person who books is the person named on the rental contract, and they are the only person entitled to drive that car. There is no additional-driver option to add, free or otherwise. If someone else in your group wants to drive, they book the trip themselves from their own account.
What the host sees
Your profile and the reviews other hosts have left you. Trips you finish without incident are what build that record.
At handover
Bring the licence you were verified with. The host is expected to check that the licence in front of them belongs to the person named on the booking, and it is the one check nothing else replaces.
Both are platform rules, and both are checked before a booking can go ahead.
The age floor is set per vehicle category and can be changed from the admin console. Today it is 21 for a car or a boat and 18 for a motorcycle, a bicycle or equipment; a category with no figure of its own falls back to the platform default of 21. It is measured in calendar years on the day the trip STARTS, so a birthday during the trip does not count.
You also need to have held your licence for at least a year, and it has to still be valid on the day the trip ends. A licence expiring mid-trip blocks the booking rather than shortening it.
Nothing here is set by the host: a listing cannot lower the floor for its own car.
